The Town of Belingham Local Emergency Planning Committee, 28 Blackstone Street, pursuant to the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986, has available for public review copies of the Town of Bellingham integrated Hazardous materials Response Plan and Hazardous Materials Chemical Inventory (Tier II) Reports.  They are available for inspection at the Bellingham Fire Station and are available by appointment with Contact Information to the Fire Chief, or Deputy Fire Chief.
The Town of Bellingham Local Emergency Planning Committee meets at 10 Common STreet at the New Municipal Center at 2pm on the following dates:

Bellingham's Local Emergency Management Agency is seeking volunteers to staff shelters in Town in the event of an emergency.

Such emergencies typically include severe weather resulting in loss of electricity forcing residents to seek shelter.

If you are interested in volunteering please email LEMA Coordinator Jim Haughey at BellinghamEMA@aol.com with contact information.  

Although not required, please include any specific training you may have which may be of added benefit (ie. nurses, doctors, counselors etc ).
The town of Bellingham is coordinating a proactive plan to triage disasters/ emergencies through the Local Emergency Management Agency.

Volunteers, Registered Nurses, and Paramedics are needed.

The following equipment is also needed to execute emergency contingencies.

       4 wheel drive vehicles and drivers
       Portable gas generators ( needed for medical purposes
       Gas Chain saw
       Sump pumps
